My family’s cultural diversity provided me with an appreciation for people from different backgrounds. I come from a family of four. My parents raised my older sister and me in Gardena, CA, which is about 20 minutes south of Los Angeles. My father is Puerto Rican. My mother is half Japanese and half English. Our family gatherings included a wide range of dishes such as sushi, arroz con pollo (chicken with rice), and green beans.
I have been happily married to Malia for almost six years. We met on a mission trip and eventually fell in love after coming back to the U.S. We strengthen our relationship through spending lots of time together. Marriage is definitely a priority in our lives.
We have a son named Nathaniel and a daughter, Naomi. Nathaniel truly is a gift from God (Ps 127:3) and Naomi truly is beautiful and pleasant. As parents, we will try not provoke them but raise them with proper loving discipline (Eph 6:4). We also will teach them sound doctrine (Deut 6:6-7).
